Our Team
What Makes Lyman PR
LPR decided to forgo the rules and structure of a traditional firm and ventured off to find exceptionally talented people that will make a difference.
Here’s a snapshot of our talented team of contractors, who are hand-picked to work on clients that suits their strengths and talents:
Natasha Bourlin brings more enthusiasm to her job than all of us combined. She has a genuine love for people and PR that translates into relationships that make a difference. Her flair for creative ideas takes events and ideas to new heights. Her go-getter attitude is one that’s contagious across our team.
Abbi Holtom Whittaker wows her LPR teammates daily. She is a talent and persona all her own. (Even the media tell us that!) Over the course of her decade in public relations, Abbi has immersed herself in a broad range of industries. Her high-profile media relations work for luxury real estate projects has moved the needle even at times when the client deemed it impossible. Give her a challenge or a competitive environment and watch her shine.
Brooke Hughes can act the part of a journalist or producer because she’s not acting. She’s been there, done that. Literally. A veteran Lyman associate, Brooke’s experience includes years of work managing media and blogger relations for the firm’s clientele. Prior to Lyman, Brooke worked in advertising and was both a writer and on-air television personality. Hence, she’s our spirited TV and visual guru.
Carm Lyman prefers a silly, dot-com title of “Keeper of the Magic” over special titles like “principal” or “president.” A seasoned PR pro – she’s seen the highs and lows of agencies, big and small. Her focus is proactive thinking that keeps us one step ahead and netting ongoing results. Plus, without a fancy title, she can keep her feet on the ground, and sow her media relations’ oats to her heart’s content.
Chris Lyman is a strategic, straight shooter. Chris is not one for hype and fluff – be it served to clients, media and journalists. Call it the ‘do unto others’ mantra. If you’re looking for experience, strategy and fresh thinking that meets today’s real world environment, exceeds expectations and pushes the envelope, then you’ll want to connect with Chris.
Amanda Mattioli is our researcher, organizer and logistics goddess. Everyone needs an “Amanda” – without her we’d be another agency just fumbling through lists they built long ago. With her, we excel at always knowing who is covering what trend, and why that matters to their readers.
Kaity Ocean is our James Brown - one of the hardest working and multi-faceted PR people in the business. Her ability to respond to a trend, the changing needs of a client, or the panicked demands of a journo on deadline, makes her a valuable part of the team. And she does it with a smile. All while maintaining course of the day’s original agenda and the clients’ objectives.
Angie Platt is a seasoned media relations specialist who has been around the block. She knows how to bring the media and blogosphere information of value to them, which in turn benefits the client’s bottom line. Her 15+ years of experience ranges from software solutions to hardware… and our favorite, ice cream companies.
Jody Privette brings clients 20 years of public relations and corporate marketing communications experience. She’s always ready to help a client or comrade blend traditional marketing theory with leading-edge public relations and communications techniques. She has proudly helped propel many companies – from Fortune 500 to start-ups, alike - into the business and trade media spotlight as market leaders.
Kim Pryor is a long-standing Lyman PR writer that approaches writing from the emotional aspects of the consumer, balanced perfectly with the facts and needs of a reporter or blogger. When not working on releases or writing assignments for LPR, Kim is busy being a journalist.
Ronda Scott knows how to think like a reporter, as well as a client. After many years on the client side, Ronda “crossed over” (gasp!). One of her key advantages was she learned how agencies can act, and how that made the client feel. She quickly learned LPR is different. Her smarts, PR thoughtfulness and desire for results makes her an easy fit. She succeeds at getting the ear of important media, bloggers and influencers with an approach that everyone respects.
Joe Wuelfing is a writer extraordinaire who has a flair for making something technical appealing to the general consumer. Our little secret: Joe was a client before a Lyman PR team member. He saw results firsthand and now helps meet the needs our clients in the present day.
